It has been a long time since MB NAS Alameda was my duty station. I served there from 1958 until 1961. From the pictures, it appears a lot of changes took place after 1961, except for the buildings themselves. Many good times took place when I was at MB and some memorable ones also. | I have many truly enjoyable memories, but the most memorable times of my life occurred at Marine Barracks Alameda and Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. I've just returned from the Centennial reunion at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon; next up is next year's Marine Barracks Alameda reunion. I look forward to "catching up" with old friends and will enjoy seeing any of you who can make it to San Antonio next October! | |||

I've been back numerous times and it is so upsetting to see our memories go away as if we never been there, I had taken pictures of Alameda, TI and Mare Island, I hold found memories of these duty stations.
